Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Creative/Production Design Intern  to join our Fireplace Business team in Lakeville, MN. Our internship will run approximately 12 weeks during the summer of 2026 and is a paid internship at $22.00 per hour. We are the nation’s leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories.

Each summer 10+ students join HHT for a summer focused on hands on learning.   Throughout the summer, professional development sessions are provided for interns including opportunities to learn from and network with senior leadership.
 
Key Responsibilities & Opportunities:
  • Execute design updates, layout refinements, and content placements across print and digital assets.
  • Prep and package final production files with accuracy and consistency.
  • Update creative templates and maintain branded design systems.
  • Support designers with resizing, formatting, and versioning work.
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, or a related field
  • Strong layout, typography, and systems-thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign required; Illustrator & Photoshop helpful)
  • Experience with Canva or other templating platforms a plus
  • A love for details—kerning, grids, alignment, consistency
  • Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset
