JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of accounting functions in support of clinical operations, fixed assets, inter-company accounting, accrued expenses and other requirements for strong financial accounting and reporting.  You will report directly to the Director, Accounting and External Reporting and manage a team of one other individual (subject to further team growth). You will also assist with the year-end audit and any other requests from the management team or partners on an ad hoc basis.  This will be a full-time roll and the individual serving in the role can work remotely, but will have to travel to the Company’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•  Demonstrated ability to develop and improve systems and processes
•  Prior staff supervisory experience; strong interpersonal skills.
•  Prior experience in medical/healthcare services is a plus.
•  Advanced in MS Excel, power point – MS Access is a plus. 
•  Attention to detail and accuracy of accounts

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
•  Manage accounting functions in support of clinical operations, fixed assets, inter-company accounting, accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, revenue accounting, bank account reconciliations, and account analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations
•  Review and approve the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations as part of Month End Close
•  Supervision and development of staff
•  Assist Director of Accounting in the preparation of financial statements; identification of variances, and explanations for variances
•  Assistance with year-end audit
•  Implementation and adherence to accounting procedures and controls with the objective of uniformity across operations
•  Customer support to facilitate understanding of financial processes, controls, and reporting
•  Compliance with monthly accounting close process
