JOB DESCRIPTION
Access Clinical Partners is seeking a Revenue Senior Accountant with 3 - 5 years of related accounting experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
JOB SUMMARY
In this role you will support the monthly revenue accounting process in close partnership and collaboration with the Company’s Revenue Cycle group. This role will also help identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and integrate new joint venture partnerships into the revenue accounting process of our fast-paced, high-growth organization. The Revenue Senior Accountant is a full-time role and reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager with visibility to leadership throughout the Company, including the Chief Accounting Officer, VP of Finance and Director of Revenue Accounting. This position will maintain close working relationships with the broader
Controllership team and various departments throughout the organization, including Revenue Cycle and FP&A. The individual serving in this role can work remotely, but may have to travel to the Company’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
· Calculate Contractual and Bad Debt Allowance for patient revenue
· Responsible for month end close for the revenue function and understands revenue recognition in a healthcare setting
· Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts emphasis on the revenue function
· Review P&L and Balance Sheet accounts for accuracy
· Participate in monthly financial reviews and provide explanations for variance inquiries related to revenue
· First level of review for specific balance sheet reconciliations completed by other team members for revenue and accounts receivable
· Seek to improve processes as needed
· Ad hoc requests as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· CPA required
· At least three to five years of relevant accounting experience
· Experience working with a fully integrated accounting system strongly preferred
· Solid understanding and experience applying U.S. GAAP
· Understanding of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, & Statement of Cash Flow
· Healthcare revenue accounting experience preferred, but not required
· Advanced MS Excel skills required; experience with Great Plains software a plus
· Experience with year-end audit preparation
