Supervisor - Facilities Maintenance (Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm)
Description
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of designated maintenance staff to ensure increased efficiency and productivity.
- Motivate employees, assist in goal setting, provide development opportunities and performance feedback, address complaints and resolve.
- Responsible for all aspects of people leadership including, but not limited to setting expectations, coaching, counseling, developing, evaluating, feedback, hiring, discipline and separations.
- Provides oversight and direction to technicians, contract vendors, property inspection support, as well as the monitoring of all building systems and equipment.
- Act as the point of liaison to the maintenance technicians while working closely with the manager to ensure strategic planning and implementation of plans.
- Provides project management support on any assigned facility projects.
- Secure bids for facility work to be completed. Assist with the negotiation of vendor contracts. Oversee and schedule all vendor mechanical equipment systems work, and contractor services.
- Supervise external service providers and contractor’s deliverables to ensure performance are met.
- Ensures general facilities are maintained in optimum condition and in compliance with local and state requirements.
- Routinely survey and evaluate necessary maintenance to the facility and perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair on systems while maintaining proper records.
- Observes and trends facility issues for continuity and improvement.
- Ensures maintenance work orders are being completed on time while adhering to operational standards. Maintain and organize spare parts and consumables.
- Maintain a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- In partnership with management, ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies including OSHA, DOH, EPA, Dire Department, city audits, Health Department, etc.
- Performs minor construction and installation of fixtures and accessories.
- Utilize effective communication skills to deliver job expectations, coaching, training, recruiting, assigning tasks and ensuring reliability of facilities systems.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum five (6) years’ experience in facilities maintenance and repair with at least two (2) years of experience in an additional building maintenance field (e.g. electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
- Minimum one (1) year of experience leading a team.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Pay Range: $36.00- $40.00/hr.
