Equipment Technician, Sr. (Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm)
Description
- Research and develops resolutions to unknown issues for critical systems equipment.
- Troubleshoots to diagnose problems using advanced diagnostic techniques and equipment.
- Develops and trains equipment maintenance staff. Assists lower-level team members with troubleshooting and resolution efforts.
- Specifies, designs, and sources facility equipment based on company needs.
- Reviews, installs, and reports on preventive maintenance for critical systems equipment.
- Obtains quotes from vendors and suppliers when necessary.
- Develops and implements cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepares detailed proposals and engineering estimates.
- Reviews project budget cost and prepares opinions of probable construction costs.
- Evaluates existing conditions, proposes plans and designs for improved dust collection and compressed air systems.
- Gathers information, defines, and drafts scopes of work, drafts correspondence, tracks project costs, and completes progress reports.
- Reviews Contractor’s shop drawing and submittals regarding building mechanical work.
- Researches equipment specifications and proposes facility improvement solutions.
- Inspects completed installations and observes operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Conducts and documents regular critical systems inspections to ensure conditions adhere to established standards for continuous production.
- Adheres to best practices processes to increase efficiency.
- Places orders for spare parts and equipment for replacement.
- Reviews the operation of critical manner and equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participates in the installation of facility equipment projects from conceptual planning to completion.
- Collaborates with appropriate teams to coordinate critical system designs.
- Creates compressed air and vacuum as-built sketches for previous projects, areas and buildings for historical records.
- Creates preventative maintenance documents as directed by management.
- Collaborates with and supports construction and maintenance teams.
- Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols, and wears protective equipment as required.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business need require at the direction of management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum four (4) years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Certification in a maintenance specialty, a plus.
Pay Range: 26.85hr.-35.00hr.
