Gigamon seeks a motivated individual to fill the position of Regional Sales Director focused on Colombia, Perú, Chile & Ecuador. In this sales position, you will identify, qualify and capture tactical sales opportunities that will align Gigamon strategically. In this role, you will also command and manage all the moving parts through the full life cycle to closure. We are searching for an entrepreneurial self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple complex tasks simultaneously, who can use his or her direct and indirect sales talent to expand adoption of Gigamon capabilities. Duties also include development of business strategies and solutions for complex and multi-faceted customer problems, and internally provide advice to support the overall growth strategy for driving Gigamon’s business activities in region to new and existing accounts.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for sales of the company’s portfolio within an assigned geographic territory and a group of named accounts in the region.
Possess advanced knowledge in cybersecurity and cloud sales; networking knowledge is a plus.
Achieve sales quotas through the development of new customers and growth of existing accounts.
Sell new and existing products, discover new opportunities, and secure incremental business.
Drive high levels of client communication and engagement, building customer champions.
Travel as needed within the territory to achieve sales and business development goals.
Consistently conduct effective sales calls and meetings to create, nurture, and close new business opportunities.
Achieve at least 8 customer meetings and 5 channel partner meetings per week.
Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and on-site customer visits.
Attend trade, channel, and vendor shows and meetings as required.
Maintain a database of customers, using Salesforce as the primary CRM tool.
Explore, identify, and communicate potential opportunities with Regional Directors and Senior Regional Directors.
Provide timely communication and follow-up to customers, consistently meeting their expectations.
Provide market and competitive information to the organization.
Deliver focused Territory Plans, Account Plans, and provide relevant QBR (Quarterly Business Review) information.
Research and analyze the territories, markets, competition, and product mix.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
BA/BS in Business, Computer Information Systems, or related field preferred.
10+ years of experience in a related area or an equivalent combination of education/experience (cybersecurity, networking, and/or cloud is a must).
Academic training or bench experience in CS, IT, or EE is a plus.
Self-starter, highly motivated for success.
Ability to succeed with little or no close supervision.
Proven customer and channel relationships in Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Ecuador.
Team player, able to work closely with associated work partners to build/develop opportunities.
Capable of understanding market dynamics and applying direct or indirect sales approaches.
Able to select and sort appropriate channel partners for success.
Proven track record of analytical capability in a high-performance environment.
High attention to detail and strong organizational and administrative skills.
Proven success in overachieving quotas.
Experience with sales qualification processes and sales frameworks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Ability to deliver written and oral presentations (English proficiency is a plus).
Proficient in using the latest versions of Microsoft Office products.
Experience with Salesforce.com.
Familiar with quoting and using quoting software.
