Gigamon India is looking for a strong Senior QA Manager to lead our dynamic GigaSMART team responsible for planning and testing embedded systems functionality with a focus on innovative high-performance applications in network security technologies. The Manager will manage resources effectively to deliver commitments on schedule, cultivate a high-performing team and constantly raise the bar. You will closely collaborate with peer development and QA teams, architects, customer support, and product line management. As a key member of the Engineering management staff, you will contribute to the vision and strategy of continuous integration, improved development processes, quality, and productivity improvements. 
 
What you’ll do:   
  • Manage the GigaSMART Functional QA teams for the Gigamon’s network visibility suite comprising of Mobility (4G/5G) solutions.
  • Implement comprehensive automation gates to ensure functional accuracy, monitor the automation effectiveness through CI/CD, and follow an automated first model.
  • Manage resources effectively to deliver commitments on schedule, cultivate a high performing team and constantly raise the bar, ability to attract, groom and retain top talent.
  • Collaborate with peer development and QA teams, architecture, customer support, and product line management.
  • Work with team for a functional testing strategy with focus on automation and customer use cases.
  • As a key member of the Engineering management staff, contribute to the vision and strategy of continuous integration, improved development/QA processes, quality and productivity of test functions.
  • Responsible for field escalations; working with support and development in troubleshooting and reproducing field reported escalation issues.
  • Understand Product architecture and its implications on feature and system testing.
What you’ve done:  
  • 14-18 years (or more) of overall relevant industry experience and a track record of shipping core-networking products for the enterprise and service provider markets.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a first/second-line manager leading the QA of networking software.
  • Direct experience with designing and testing complex system/infrastructure software for Network Security technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of network management concepts and networking protocols is must (e.g. TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, TLS/SSL, IPv4, IPv6, REST).
  • Experience with Network processors platforms like Cavium/Broadcom.
  • Experience with various test automation framework (Robot, Python) and test automation tools.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Mobility (LTE, 5G concepts) is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of any current virtualization software, tools, protocols, and standards, including vCenter, VMware ESXi/NSX-T, public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.).
  • Deep understanding of full product life cycle, software development methods (both Agile and Waterfall).
  • Manage major software release deliveries as a release manager.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills, both within the team and across the organization.
  • Ability to mentor/coach/teach/facilitate and lead change in a highly technical/dynamic team environment.
  • BS in CS or EE, MS strongly preferred.
