Solutions Engineering is dedicated to enabling the field sales team to provide customers with advanced deep observability solutions across their hybrid cloud environments. We review customer environment, design, and validate Gigamon offerings in line with industry best practices and recommendations across their hybrid cloud environments. Assist customer objective to secure their operating environment and preserving the trust they have on our solutions and capabilities. 
 
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong networking background and expertise in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and observability tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with security monitoring platforms and demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive security monitoring solutions as noted by industry leaders, and other observability tools like NPM, APM, NCM to communicate the ability of Gigamon offerings to vastly enrich the telemetry and enhance data analytics on any of these existing industry leading tools when paired with Gigamon.
  • The right candidate will contribute to the design, deployment and documenting best practices for deploying Gigamon solutions in tandem with ecosystem partner tools like EDR, XDR, SIEM, NPM, APM etc.
  • Be the subject matter expert and evangelize Gigamon solutions and its key value proposition through the means of tool dashboards and widgets covering various operational, Compliance, availability and security use cases.
  • Architect and implement comprehensive observability solutions in Gigamon Solutions Lab used for demo and various Sales activities.
  • Apply programming skills to automate recommended solutions and develop tools for sales enablement.
  • Create reference architectures / solutions guides with best practice recommendations for Gigamon’s Cloud customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Gigamon Sales Engineers, partners and engineering in strategic proof-of-concepts and other major customer deployments.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field
    • 10+ years of experience in Network and security operations, preferably with SIEM, NPM, Network monitoring and datacentre systems.
    • Working as part of a growing, dynamic team, the candidate will thrive in a cross-functional environment.
    • Be a subject matter expert for Gigamon’s product portfolio and capture them as tool artefacts for customer conversations.
    • Strong networking background (CCNA, Network+ or equivalent experience)
    • Experience with one or more SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK, etc.)
    • Understanding of various compliance frameworks like ISO27001, NIST RMF, SOX, GDPR, PCI.
    • Knowledge of security protocols and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.)
    • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
    • Domain expertise in networking and security spanning physical datacentres and of public /private clouds
    • Ability to be both hands-on and think strategically
    • Adept at prioritizing activities and leading best-in-class solutions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to convey complex ideas in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences, including engineering teams, customers, partners, and sales engineers.
