Who we are looking for:

First Eagle is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager to partner closely with our Global Value and Institutional sales teams to ensure high quality engagement with client and prospects. This individual will report to and work in close partnership with the Head of Product. This role requires a thorough understanding of the firm’s capabilities, investing philosophy, portfolio composition, and capital markets dynamics.

What you will do:

  • Understand and articulate the Global Value Team investment process, portfolio strategy and investment theses for individual portfolio holdings across Global Value Team strategies and serve as a credible representative for research professionals in new business and client meetings, primarily with the Institutional Sales team;
  • Partner with our Business Development and Client Relationship Management teams to ensure high quality engagement with clients and prospects;
  • Communicate with clients and prospects on behalf of our Portfolio Managers while also advocating internally for client needs;
  • Work closely with the senior management, investment management professionals, client-facing teams, and other members of the firm to provide high-quality service to our existing clients;
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Sales in developing written materials and exhibits on investment strategies for purposes of client communications; and
  • Provide insights from client and prospect interactions that can assist in the product development of new investment strategies or enhancements to existing offerings.

The qualities you should have:

  • BA/BS required; concentration in finance or economics very strongly preferred. MBA, CIMA, CFA, CAIA or progress towards preferred
  • 15-20 years of investment related experience
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, particularly via in-person and phone/video
  • Exceptional client service/relationship building skills and demeanor
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including international
  • Superior work ethic and ability to multi‐task
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for financial markets
  • Strong analytical skills
