Who we are looking for:  

First Eagle is seeking a National Accounts Senior Research Director to grow account relationships and support the distribution effort by focusing on product and platform placement. 

  

What you will do: 

  • Spearhead the development and execution of the firm’s manager research strategy across the full suite of investment capabilities and vehicles including alternative credit and traditional equity and fixed income
  • Drive new platform placement, recommended list placement and discretionary model placement across full suite of investment products
  • Partner closely with Investment Teams and Product Management to create institutional type content to help position products and investment capabilities
  • Build customer service model that supports existing platform placement at the wirehouses, Independents and RIAs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on new product development
  • Assume primary coverage of research gatekeepers, CIO offices at major wirehouses and select RIA aggregators
  • Partner with National Account Managers to cover Tier 2 and some Tier 3 gatekeepers in product specialist capacity
  • Partner with Institutional Consultant Relations team to bridge gap between consultants and wealth channel
  • Drive manager research strategy within National Accounts team to ensure it is being implemented consistently with tier 2 and tier 3 firms

  

The qualities you should have: 

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or related field; graduate degree or CFA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of national accounts or sales experience, background in mutual fund or investment management industry, and strong knowledge of alternative credit
  • Series 7 is required; Series 63, 65 or 66 will be required within first 6-12 months of employment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Thorough understanding of the wealth channel and distribution framework
  • Expertise in using Morningstar, Albridge, etc.
  • Efficient organizational and coordination skills necessary for management of firms and projects
  • Professional approach to work with a service orientation, including strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment

 

Base Salary range: $130,000 to $200,000. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to – the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
