In this pivotal role within Evolus’ Global Insights & Analytics team, you will elevate the commercial insights distributed across our global, aesthetics-focused brands. The dashboards you and your team create will be essential tools for our C-suite, providing crucial insights to drive strategic business decisions. You'll spearhead Evolus' distributed sales, marketing, and operations reporting, proactively elevating both leading and lagging trends to our leadership team.
 
To accomplish these feats, you'll team up with business analysts to support various functions in tracking key strategic and tactical projects collaborate closely with data engineering to architect data models, and transform multisource data, underpinning the visualizations and dashboards that power our growth. You'll also design AI-enhanced actionable 360º customer views for our field force, elevating their performance to new heights.

Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

Tableau Dashboard Creation and Administration
  • Architect Impactful Dashboards: Direct the design, development, and upkeep of Tableau dashboards that drive key business decisions.
  • Deliver Excellence: Ensure dashboards are intuitive, visually engaging, and provide actionable insights.
  • Optimize Performance: Maintain and administer the Tableau server environment, ensuring peak performance and high availability.
Business Analysis and Stakeholder Management
  • Bridge the Gap: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into innovative BI solutions.
  • Ensure Integrity: Work closely with the data engineering team to guarantee data integrity and availability.
  • Empower Decision-Making: Distribute insights across the enterprise, ensuring they are easily accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
Strategic Planning and Execution
  • Shape the Future: Develop and implement a visionary strategic roadmap for business intelligence initiatives.
  • Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our BI capabilities remain cutting-edge.
  • Drive Adoption: Lead the charge in adopting BI tools and best practices across the organization.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Deliver Insights: Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on BI activities, highlighting key usage metrics and performance indicators.
  • Uncover Opportunities: Partner with subject-matter expert analysts within GI&A to perform deep-dive analyses to reveal insights that propel business performance.
  • Support Excellence: Address ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from various business units, providing timely and actionable insights.
Skills and Qualifications Required for this Dynamic Team Member: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of combined experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
  • Tableau certification is required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Proven experience in leading and managing BI teams, including developers and business analysts
  • Extensive experience with Tableau, including dashboard development and cloud/server administration
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Aesthetic, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Management Consulting, or CPG industry experience.
 
A Few Other Items Worth Mentioning:

  • Office location – Newport Beach
  • Travel up to 10% may be required
  • Position reports directly to our Director, Advanced Analytics & Insights.
 
Compensation & Total Rewards:
The pay range for this position is $165,440 - $188,000.  Your actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on a number of considerations including but not limited to role relevant knowledge and skills, experience, education, certifications, and more.
