- Own all aspects of product management and sourcing/development across all EVgo market segments. Drive overall charging product strategy, design, and sourcing/development of EVSEs, subassemblies, components, and underlying processes and tools for new product introduction, competitive sourcing, product certification, and continuous refinement and support. Serve as a trusted advisor, shaping market and product strategy, making tough trade-off decisions, and handling internal and external negotiations.
- Grow, manage, and mature the EVgo charging products team. The SVP/VP will manage and grow the team effectively and judiciously providing maximum return on investment and working cross-functionally with all dependent stakeholders. The team currently consists of product management, electrical and mechanical engineers, a supplier quality engineer, a station designer, and a lab technician.
- Oversee new product introduction and support across the following business and product segments:
- Business Segments:
- Retail public charging
- Dedicated public charging
- Dedicated commercial charging
- Multi-modal hubs supporting combinations of public/dedicated retail/commercial charging
- Product Segments:
- Level 2
- Level 3 (representing DCFC and upcoming MegaWatt charging)
- Business Segments:
- Adhere to the timeline of expectations
- Within three months, become an SME in EV Charging and related domains.
- Within six months, manage day-to-day operations and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Within 12 months, lead those strategic discussions and plot out the future strategy of the company.
- Ensure performance and reliability of all charging products and integration of products within EVgo systems.
- Maintain and refine compliance of all charging products externally concerning industry standards and policy requirements, and internally concerning revenue assurance and required standards of practice.
- Support broad transportation ecosystem, including existing and future EVgo market segments and solutions while ensuring the customer experience is the best in class.
- Refine and optimize processes to improve the efficiency and throughput of the team. Develop, track, and report metrics targets and actuals to support EVgo’s data-driven analytic decision-making culture.
- Develop ancillary products and services to grow EVgo’s revenue and margin in addition to charging.
- Technical foundation in Electrical Engineering (BSc minimum) plus product development and management experience in power electronics and embedded software.
- 10 years of product development and management experience; 5 years at the supervisory level of Sr. Director or VP.
- Experience managing world-class engineering teams and products
- Ready for a high-stakes challenge, with the reliability of products key to the company’s success.

- Persistence and dedication to see projects through despite setbacks, changes, and challenges.
- The enthusiasm and vision to ideate and execute new products, services, functions, and features.
- A blend of management experience and technical savvy, with the ability to step into a leadership role.
- Comes from a related engineering environment, though direct EV industry tech experience isn’t necessarily required, but considered a plus (along with related clean energy experience).
- Capable of managing within a hybrid workforce, which is diverse in every way (including location).
- Presence to interface with stakeholders, external partners, and customers alike, articulating ideas clearly and compellingly for those with less technical backgrounds.
- A collaborative spirit and ability, with a willingness to coach and mentor staff.
- A minimum of a high-level understanding of power conversion.
- Willingness to learn and listen from others on the team to then inform and ideate.
- Passionate about the environment and the opportunity to make an impact on the future

- Has the presence and gravitas to command attention and build relationships
