Position Summary:
EVgo is one of the nation’s largest public fast-charging networks for electric vehicles. As we continue to expand our network and scale operations, effective and compliant inventory management is critical to supporting growth and ensuring operational excellence.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Compliance Manager to lead oversight of EVgo’s inventory control policies, procedures, and compliance standards. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best-in-class practices to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of inventory across warehouses, job sites, and field operations. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in inventory controls, auditing, and regulatory compliance, combined with the ability to partner cross-functionally to embed accountability across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee inventory control policies and compliance standards across EVgo’s supply chain network.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory records to ensure accuracy between physical counts and ERP system data.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and root cause analyses of discrepancies; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to inventory.
- Partner with finance, procurement, logistics, and operations teams to align inventory practices with business objectives.
- Provide training and guidance to field teams and warehouse staff on inventory control procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in inventory management.
- Prepare and present regular reporting to leadership on inventory accuracy, compliance findings, and risk mitigation plans.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for inventory compliance within EVgo’s ERP and
- reporting systems.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, auditing practices, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and reconcile discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- CPA, CMA, or APICS/CPIM certification a plus.
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $102,000.00 USD to $113,00.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
