We are hiring a full-time, permanent Analyst, Centre of Excellence, position working out of Edmonton, AB.

 

As an Analyst, Centre of Excellence, you take ownership of maintaining and enhancing finance planning processes within the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system. You streamline, standardize, and automate planning activities, build and review financial models, and recommend improvements that boost efficiency and system performance. You also develop training materials, deliver training, support changemanagement communication, and organize documentation to strengthen the Centre of Excellence knowledge base.

What you’d be responsible for

 

  • Developing shortterm strategic initiatives that support the direction of the Centre of Excellence.
  • Evaluating finance planning processes and data structures to identify standardization, streamlining and automation opportunities.
  • Contributing to improvement initiatives involving ERP/ EPM systems, analytics, reporting, and related tools.
  • Providing support, maintenance, and guidance for EPM systems to ensure standardization, data integrity, and effective controls.
  • Resolving complex EPM operational issues by collaborating with Finance, IT, and system owners.
  • Designing and prototyping financial models and reports to meet planning requirements.
  • Mentoring and training finance employees to increase adoption of technology and improved processes.
  • Offering consultative expertise in change management, process mapping, business analysis, and implementation planning.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, training materials, and change management communications.
  • Organizing and maintaining Centre of Excellence document libraries for internal and Finance user access.

 

What’s required to be successful

 

Qualifications, experience and behaviours you possess are:

 

  • Completion of a Diploma in Business, Accounting, Management Information System (or a related field) from a recognized post-secondary educational institute.
    • Professional accounting designation (CPA) an asset.
  • 4-6 years of working with an ERP/EPM, including Oracle and/or Adaptive Insights.
  • 4-6 years of experience with finance business processes and process redesign.
  • Experience implementing EPM functional or technical solutions, including configuration changes.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Microsoft Power Query and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Understanding of database design, modelling and analytics, as it relates to EPM planning systems.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly through strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to build working relationships, influence stakeholders, and build consensus.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fastpaced environment across multiple projects while coordinating with internal teams.
  • Ability to develop training materials and deliver training or information sessions.

Hours of work: 40 hours weekly

Wage: Starting at $49.93 per hour

  • Final Wage and Step will be determined at the time of selection and based on a combination of factors as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
