SALARY RANGE: $100,363 - $215,100

SUMMARY

Edge Autonomy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with complex systems such as drones, medical devices, complex consumer electronics, uncrewed vehicles, or automobiles. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Electrical Engineer at Edge, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing the next generation of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) drones. You will engage in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies to detailed design, prototyping, and testing. Your expertise will be crucial in solving complex technical challenges and ensuring the reliability and performance of our advanced systems. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including mechanical engineers, software developers, aerospace engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly. Additionally, you will lead efforts in innovating and implementing state-of-the-art technologies, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the field of uncrewed aircraft systems and power solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the development of groundbreaking products that set new standards in the industry.  

 

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties. 

  • Design and Development: Create detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for complex systems.  
  • Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and conduct rigorous testing to validate system performance and compliance with industry standards.  
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and integrated system designs.  
  • Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance product functionality and performance.  
  • Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 4-10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on complex systems such as drones, medical devices, complex consumer electronics, uncrewed vehicles, or automobiles.  
  • Proven experience in designing and developing electrical systems from concept to production.  
  • Strong background in circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded systems.  
  • Experience with simulation tools and software for electrical design, such as E3 and/or Altium.  
  • Experience with defense contracts is preferred.  

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.  
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
