We are currently seeking a highly driven Sales Collections Specialist to join our Sales Operations team. The primary responsibility of this unique role is to interact directly with customers to maximize collectability of sales and minimize de-bookings for companies at higher risk of nonpayment. This role offers a strong compensation plan with a base salary plus performance-based variable pay and reports into the Sales Operations organization.

Performance Objectives

As a Sales Collections Specialist, you will help to provide collaborative solutions to our clients related to the payment and collection on specific, targeted accounts. Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute tactics and strategies to reduce the number of de-bookings, as well as drive specific reduction of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
  • Develop and execute tactics and strategies to customers with non-annual payment frequency to annual payments across all business units.
  • Interact directly with customers to mitigate loss to the company by negotiating resolutions to collections issues, where appropriate
  • Serve as liaison between Sales, Finance and the customer
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment through effective communication

Competitive Candidate Profile

  • Highly consultative self-starter with a minimum 3-5 years of Sales experience
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of the customer and their perspective. Prior Contract Renegotiation Skills a plus!
  • Proven relationship, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with internal and external clients
  • Ability to understand and resolve complex issues
  • Strong ability to Influence and follow through to ensure results are achieved
  • A strong will-to-win and the ability to thrive in an incentive and goal-oriented environment, superior communication skills, in both positive and negative situations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Pivot Tables and Sumup experience is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM and billing system tools (Salesforce.com required, Intacct is a plus)
