We are currently seeking a Backend – Staff to join our Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector. 


 

What you’ll do:

• Contribute to architectural design and decisions.
• Improve our product by developing new or improving functionalities, with efficient, reusable, and easy to maintain code.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Backend teams, to frame and tackle the challenges, both from a technical and business context.
• Manage and improve CI procedures.
• Administrate and maintain cloud infrastructure with guidance from our devSecOps engineers.
• Identify and implement improvements that reduce technical debt and enable the team to iterate faster.
• Identifying and addressing performance and scalability issues.
• Reaches beyond immediate needs considering the longer-term, and is always looking beyond for ways to have a broad impact.
• Able to take ownership on complex requirements and decompose them into a proposal of small deliverables.
• Leverage feedback to drive the best possible outcomes with the information that is available.
• Help others to improve their technical skills
• Become the go-to person and be the mentor for other engineers inside outside the team

What you should have:

• 5+ year in Java, and object-oriented development
• Extensive knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Postgress)  
• Knowledge of non-relational databases (mongoDB)
• Deep understanding of architectural principle, common design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Good experience writing unitary tests.
• Strong motivation to drive impact by making product improvements and by suggesting and implementing technical enhancements.
• Proactiveness, thinking out of the box, team player and willingness to teach & learn from peer.
• Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
• Proactiveness, team player and willingness to teach & learn from peers
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
