Job Title: Central Hope’s Closet Lead

Ministry/Department: Central Hope’s Closet

Reports to: Donations Warehouse Manager

Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Supervisory Role: Serve staff

Objective

To support and lead in daily operations across all Hope’s Closet locations while carrying the vision of The Church of Eleven22® to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minister of the gospel
  • Support stores as needed in different operations:
    • Merchandising
    • Replenishment
    • Cashwrap procedures
    • Daily donations processing goals
    • Receiving donations
    • Opening/closing of store
  • Provide excellent customer service to our donors and customers
  • Support in central warehouse operations
    • Baler operations
    • Maintain warehouse organization and assist with inventory tracking
    • Ability to drive truck to deliver inventory to stores
    • Load and unload trucks using forklift, (if necessary), between Hope’s Closet locations
  • Assist in training, coordination and supervision of staff and serve staff based on daily, seasonal and ministry opportunities
  • Lead the team in the absence of assistant manager–zoning staff, following up on daily tasks, incident reporting, cash office support, etc. 
  • Lead serve groups as needed
  • Help create an inspiring team environment through casting vision, setting and celebrating team goals, promoting open communication and demonstrating proactive and productive work culture

Education and Experience

  • Completion of high school diploma required
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience, including retail or warehouse experience
  • Experience operating cash registers and handling of money required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days may vary by week due to the needs of the store and events. Weekend and holiday hours are a must.

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of The Church of Eleven22 and Hope’s Closet. We encourage staff to participate and serve at these events. The stores are closed during these events to ensure The Hope’s Closet team has the opportunity to participate in the spiritual formation of the church.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional retail and warehouse environment. This position will use equipment like hand carts, dollies, ladders, rolling carts and rolling racks.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand or walk on concrete flooring for prolonged periods of time, bend, lift, grasp, reach, push and pull materials, walk on uneven surfaces, ladders and stairs and have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
