The Equipment Control Manager oversees the accounting aspects of the company’s fleet and field equipment, ensuring they are correctly maintained, categorized, and allocated. The Equipment Control Manager requires 5+ years of experience to include heavy exposure to Fleet, Fixed Assets, solid understanding of US GAAP, and advanced Excel skills.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Thorough review, analysis, ensure that Fixed Asset transactions are recorded accurately, consistently, and, in a manner compliant with company policy and regulatory authority.
  • Evaluate company policy and procedures related to fixed assets for operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance recommending changes where appropriate.
  • Process weekly utilization of all billable rigs in our fleet, while correcting errors to coding.
  • Process and audit dispositions so that purchases, sales, and transfers are reflected in the company’s accounting structure.
  • Code lease invoices and reconcile payments against lease assets and liabilities.
  • Manage and reconcile the company’s sonic head parts inventory.
  • Reconcile the company’s work orders, closing and revising as necessary.
  • Create equipment-related reporting based on the needs of accounting and operations.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts.
  • Partner with various teams in CASCADE to ensure compliance of process and budget.
  • Lead process improvement activities.
  • Manage and perform special projects as needed.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline and five or more years of progressively complex experience in finance/accounting. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting guidelines (GAAP, FAR, CAS, etc.) associated with fleet and equipment control.
  • Experience executing controls over fixed assets including accounting for physical existence, determination of asset status and optimization of asset utilization.
  • Fixed asset system experience preferred.
