Position Title: Staff Accountant – General Ledger
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: Finance & Accounting Manager
Location: Dallas, Texas
Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant-General Ledger is responsible for prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy. The qualifications for this position include skills in SAP ERP system and office software like Microsoft Excel.
Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany entries into
  • the ledger monthly, as well as preparing reports.
  • Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
  • Reconciling accounts with the general ledger.
  • Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping.
  • Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Participate in the year-end financial statement audit through effectively responding to specific
  • requests and inquiries from the external audit team.
  • Participate in other strategic finance, accounting, and business projects if needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or in a related specialization.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP system and Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in Excel.
  • Good attention to detail with excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously in an accurate and on a timely basis.
