ActioNet is seeking a API Developer – I for an immediate, a REMOTE opportunity with occasional travel (10%) to the Washington, D.C. area. This role requires U.S. citizenship to be eligible for federal government security clearance.

We are seeking a API Developer I with a strong foundation in cloud technologies and a passion for growth in the field. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in API development, with a preference for those who have supported government projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your skills in cloud environments while contributing to impactful, mission-driven work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain APIs to ensure seamless integration across systems while optimizing performance and functionality.
• Support the implementation of security measures and adherence to industry standards to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to help improve API usability and streamline integration.
• Troubleshoot and help resolve minor performance issues to ensure APIs function effectively in production.
• Contribute to API documentation and integration processes, ensuring clear communication with internal teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in API development, integration, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design, development, and optimization for high availability and scalability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with best practices in API security, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Experience working with cloud-based APIs and microservices architecture, contributing to scalable and efficient systems.
