Position:  Senior Developer 

Location: Rosslyn, VA, 

Clearance:  Secret

The Senior Developer leads the design, development, and optimization of complex software applications that support enterprise systems and business objectives. This role provides technical leadership to development teams while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational requirements. The position requires deep programming expertise, advanced architectural knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions while guiding best practices across the development lifecycle.
• Lead the design and development of advanced software applications and enterprise solutions
• Develop and optimize complex application architectures, system workflows, and development frameworks
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers and development teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure applications align with business goals and operational needs
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and resolve critical application and system issues
• Integrate applications with enterprise platforms, services, and databases
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards
• Develop and maintain documentation for system architectures, configurations, and development practices
• Promote development standards, code quality, and best practices across the engineering team
• Stay current with emerging software development technologies, frameworks, and tools
• Participate in strategic planning and represent the development team in technical and business discussions
Professional Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7–12 years of experience in software development or application engineering
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and SAFe
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
• Proficiency with system integration, microservices, and API development
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking abilities
• Software development certifications preferred
• Experience with cloud-based development environments and big data platforms is a plus
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
