ActioNet is seeking a Performance Tester (Work From Home) with NeoLoad expertise that can combine solid software performance testing credentials with emerging technology trends in the industry. This work will use current performance testing tools suite which includes NeoLoad.  Working as a Performance Tester, you will be responsible for hands-on performance testing of content delivery applications. In this role, you will be performance and load testing Java-based and .Net based systems. You will monitor load, volume, stress, and scalability of each application. You will plan, design, develop, debug and load testing scripts.  Expertise in debugging performance related issues and bottlenecks using a combination of log analysis, code analysis and tools like Loadrunner are key success factors in this highly visible opportunity.

 Responsibilities

• Develop and execute formal performance test plans, covering load, stress, volume, endurance, and scalability testing for web and client/server applications.
• Design, create, and maintain NeoLoad scripts, as well as scripts for other testing tools as needed (LoadRunner, JMeter).
• Perform functional and performance testing of web GUIs, APIs, and backend services.
• Analyze database performance and SQL queries, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing data access where necessary.
• Monitor system metrics and APM tools (e.g., AppDynamics, New Relic) to detect performance issues.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis using logs, code, and performance monitoring tools.
• Execute API/backend performance tests for SOAP, REST, and other service endpoints.
• Participate in cloud-based deployments and integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate test execution and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Document findings, report test results, and communicate effectively with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in performance testing, including load, stress, and scalability testing.
  • 2+ years of NeoLoad experience, including installation, configuration, scripting, and execution.
  • Experience testing Java and .NET-based applications; exposure to PACTS applications a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and APM tools (AppDynamics, New Relic, Dynatrace, Grafana).
  • Hands-on experience with API testing (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
  • Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong scripting/automation skills (VuGen, Selenium, JMeter, or similar).
• Professional Skills:
  • Strong communication, reporting, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
• Additional Requirements:
  • US Citizenship not required, but candidate must be able to pass a background check.
