ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Writer / Editor. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.

Join our dynamic team, where you will play a crucial role in the creation and upkeep of comprehensive documentation related to technical support, administration, and usage of the on-site ServiceNow platform, including standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, training materials, and assessment documentation. Additionally, tasked with performing miscellaneous duties as needed.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Design, create, proofread, format, update and maintain documentation for technical support, administration, maintenance, upgrades and use of on-site ServiceNow platform.
  • Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Create, update, and maintain knowledge articles.
  • Create, update, and maintain training materials.
  • Create, update, and maintain assessment documentation.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Required Job Experience: 


  • Three years of demonstrated experience creating, proof-reading, formatting, graphics development, updating, and maintaining technical documentation for support, administration, and maintenance and use of an application system platform.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft O365 Suite particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Visio or similar applications.
  • Must provide written sample of standard operating procedures, training materials or similar related technical documentation.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management or equivalent experience or certifications.
  • 2-3 years of Government experience
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (preferred)


Preferred Experience (nice to have):


  • Experience with ServiceNow platform and/or similar customer relationship management, enterprise relationship management, or IT service management software platform.
  • Experience in performing business analysis and process re-engineering with small groups.
