The Role: The Global Program Manager, Early Career Development will build and manage best-in-class development programs that clearly communicate the engaging and unique opportunity Xylem offers for university students and early career professionals. This role will have responsibility to develop & manage Xylem’s rotational programs.  By being the center of our university relationship activities and executing on programs focused on developing Xylem’s next water leaders, this role will be key to Xylem’s future success as an employer of choice.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: 

Early in Career Rotational/Development Programs

  • Lead in conjunction with program design teams & program sponsors the design and strategic direction for each of Xylem’s rotational development programs.  Ensuring our rotational programs create a unique and exciting experience that best positions Xylem as a great place to work.
  • Design our rotational development programs through partnering with key stakeholders like university partners, hiring managers, the talent acquisition and local HR teams and run these programs effectively.
  • Track the development of Early in Career (EIC) program participants; report out to key stakeholders on progress with the use of easy to understand dashboards and leading metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement with Xylem’s EIC programs to ensure they are delivering on the ROI for the company and providing EIC employees with best in class development opportunities
  • Work closely with Rotational Program key stakeholders on the execution of activities (e.g. identification of rotational assignments, leadership trainings, lunch/learns, etc.) and participant engagement, ensuring a quality experience and successful conversion.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Business Unit stakeholders to understand Xylem’s Early Professional Rotational Programs/ New Graduate hiring forecast/priorities and drive execution based on plan.
  • Regularly review training curriculum, and partner with the business and Learning and Development team to improve program offerings in line with development needs of early career talent
  • Partner with functional leaders to build a unified program enabling a consistent approach to the hiring, development and management of early career talent.
  • Maintain a strong level of knowledge on industry trends which will allow for continuous improvement across the program.
  • Establish a coaching relationship with new college hires, regularly collecting performance feedback on each – acting as a liaison between them and the business to create a positive experience for all parties.

Recruitment of Early in Career Talents

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and local HR on recruitment events (i.e. career fairs, info sessions, onsite interviews, etc.) from planning through execution and track ROI metrics.
  • Build and manage a strategic plan to leverage Xylem’s internship program participants as a feeder pool to EIC rotational programs.
  • Effectively communicate candidate value proposition through strategic storytelling and brand advocacy. Partner with Marketing/Communications maximize marketing activities on campus. 
  • Stay abreast of the early professional competitive landscape and leverage marketplace data to inform recruitment strategy.
  • Promote diversity recruiting strategies to attract a diverse workforce by hiring the best talent from varied backgrounds, experiences and styles.
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience in talent acquisition with previous experience managing university relationship development/early in career talent programs
  • 2-3 years of project/program management experience; preferably global programs
  • Previous full lifecycle recruiting experience is considered a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong change management agility
  • Act as an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influence and customer service skills
  • Budget planning experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System, preferably Jobvite
  • Ability to develop key recruitment metrics and regularly brief outcomes to management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities particularly during peak periods of high volume
  • Strong attention to detail; process oriented-
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
  • Ability to develop and deliver relevant, effective training programs to targeted audiences
