The Role: The Sales Operations Senior Pricing Analyst role drives the pricing strategy across the commercial team to achieve the businesses margin and revenue targets. The role is a key interface between the pricing team, sales and customers.  This includes managing the pricing strategy for large orders and projects. This role also creates and enforces standard pricing policies across the commercial team.

This role will also work closely with internal stakeholders such as Product Line Managers, Sales and marketing to drive pricing strategy including the annual price increase. 

The Senior Pricing Analyst will also be a strategic partner to Sales Operations Business Partner to perform essential activities and drive greater sales success.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Create and enforce standard process for pricing
  • Provide analysis on external pricing and market conditions including trends and competitor intelligence
  • Implement pricing strategies to achieve KPI targets for margin, revenue, and customers
  • Analyze and report on Sales KPIs by channel and region. 
  • Own/enforce pricing policies for freight, discounts and DOA
  • Drive continuous improvement and miscellaneous projects as needed
  • Implement tools such as business software for price optimization, price delivery and price book creation
  • Evaluate business tools such as pricing software
  • Process/evaluate large orders including CQM, Low NSP and other large project quotes such as custom pump and turbines.
  • Provide competitive analysis on promotional activity and market conditions.
  • Work with key stakeholders on identifying areas for improvement for pricing efficiency and helping to implement those solutions.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Business Partner in an adhoc basis.
  • Create and maintain dashboards
  • Adhoc projects between Customer Support, Marketing, Project Management, and Sales.
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration
  • 6+ years work experience in Sales, Marketing, Operations, or Finance
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, relationship building, and strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills and ability to learn new tools such as Business Objects, pricing software tools
  • Intermediate data visualization with Tableau, Power BI or other similar tools.
