The Senior Manager, Product Marketing - Reporting will be responsible for customer reporting requirements gathering, metric definition and dashboard/ULD design planning across all Medscape products, working closely and collaboratively with Product Marketing, ULD and dashboard technical resources, technical Product Managers and reporting end users, ensuring that the data design is implementable and that delivery is consistent with the agreed design and Business capabilities.

  • Work with Product Marketing Leads to strategically define and enhance customer facing product metrics and ensure consistency in metric definition across products
  • Drive assessment needs for upcoming product reporting dashboards, ULD and analytics needs and help prioritize and communicate roadmaps in partnership with Product Marketing Leads
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering organizations to assess impact to product reporting and ensure product reporting requirements are included in all work streams
  • Manage entering, prioritization and QA for dashboard, analytics and ULD Jira tickets across products
  • Lead teams to problem solve and/or mitigate issues in dataflow/customer reporting
  • Document product data architecture and integration points for all systems/platforms impacting product data and ensure backend data sets match correctly
  • Improve operational product reporting excellence through identification and execution of initiatives that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business. This includes identifying ways in which tools can be built and deployed to improve workflows, including automation and process enhancement
  • Become expert on targeting set up within CP/CDP/Artemis and impact on reporting architecture as it applies to each commercial product

Senior Manager, Product Marketing - Reporting will support the following initiatives:

  • New product reporting implementation and QA - Work with Product Marketing Lead, Product Manager, dashboard, infrastructure, APS leads to define product metric reporting, enter business requirements, work with teams to document data architecture and validate initial reports
  • Product platform migrations - i.e. Sizmek to DFP for POC or Brand Direct Weblogs to Adobe - Facilitates with Product Manager, Product Ops, promo implementation, delivery teams and BI to ensure that the business requirements and pull-through to live and new programs are managed in a timely manner and executed and Q/A'd appropriately
  • Work with internal teams to develop early warning systems to aid in detection of problems at a product or product group level
  • CDP/Artemis Migration - Works directly with BI and Product Management leads to fully understand new capabilities and changes that underpin our entire commercial products suite, and ensures our business requirements (and requirements from reporting teams and client services and sales) are included in the proposed scope and subsequently pulled through
  • ULD Platform Update - Works with BI to understand the scope and impact on the commercial reporting and client facing teams
  • Engagement Definition Update - Works with BI, reporting analysts and delivery managers to identify the work streams on where and how we convert to a day visit model to a sessions-based model 
  • Client Self Service Reporting - Establish a vision for and partner with internal teams to execute, maintain and update product feature sets
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience
  • 5 years experience in a data-driven technology role i.e technical product manager
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand technical interdependencies and navigate through various functional teams
  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Ability to work independently, taking a leadership role on specific efforts
  • Outstanding attention to detail, follow-up skills and results-orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – must be able to synthesize data into concise messages for leadership
  • Knowledge working with Tableau
  • SQL proficiency a plus
