Medscape Global, the fastest growing division of WebMD, seeks an experienced, driven sales 'hunter/partner' as Director of Strategic Accounts (DSA) Professional Promotion for France to represent all Medscape professional business in France.

 

The position will require a sales executive to build relationships with top interactive agencies and pharmaceutical clients in France. The successful candidate will have significant interactive sales experience calling on all levels of HCP-marketing professionals, within both Clients and Agencies in the healthcare industry. The position requires strong relationship building skills and knowledge of interactive media buying and selling. The Director, Strategic Accounts will be focused on developing online media and digital marketing campaigns specially to support the promotion of both Pharma and Medical Device brands, targeting Healthcare Professionals on the Medscape Professional Network, and will have the opportunity to use their comprehensive industry knowledge and contacts to develop prospects and grow revenue for Medscape. The successful candidate will be dedicated to developing and closing new business and growing existing business in France. The ability to work/interface our Global Pharma Accounts team is essential in the coordination of sales on both the client and agency level. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential to be successful in this role.

 

-Sell current and new digital advertising products and strategic initiatives, meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual sales goals

-Develop the strategies needed to help clients make informed decisions through a consultative sales approach

-Utilize forecasting and business analytical skills to take advantage of opportunities and to expand relationships

-Build relationships with agency and brand decision makers

-Develop and pitch client proposals and opportunities

-Work closely with Global Pharma Directors teams to identify key strategies to maximize impact of client campaigns on the Medscape Professional Network

-Work closely with internal teams to ensure digital campaigns achieve required performance metrics

Qualifications

-Minimum of 3 years advertising sales experience selling digital marketing solutions to companies in the French healthcare industry (preferably pharmaceutical companies in France). Experience in selling Communications, Advertising, or Education programs in the healthcare space will be considered

-5+ years of Internet sales preferred

-Experience working to, and preferably exceeding, sales targets is required

-Agency experience in both the planning and buying of traditional and interactive media is a plus

-Bachelor's degree or 5 years’ business experience required

-Fluency in French and English required
