Manager, Financial Operations and Analytics
Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Data Team Manager, Financial Operations to lead a Manila-based team supporting our U.S. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of data-driven insights, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and other analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial data, and a passion for enabling strategic decision-making through data. The role is responsible for hiring, training and developing a team to meet data and reporting goals for the Financial Operations team in Manila. Must be very strong at managing, training and developing teams for US-based companies.
This position is fully in office at our Metro Manila, Taguig BGC office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts to support FP&A reporting and analytics needs.
- Collaborate closely with U.S.-based finance leaders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data pipelines using Power BI, Alteryx, and other tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting outputs.
- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and scalability.
- Manage workload prioritization, project timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- Develop and execute training and development programs grow the team’s technical and business acumen.
- Hire and staff strong financial operations data analytic team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role with strong ability to create and train teams.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI and Alteryx; experience with SQL, Excel, and other BI tools is a plus.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated experience managing staff, including hiring and training for a U.S.-based company.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in SaaS or technology companies.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality analytics solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to the U.S. occasionally (5–10%) for team alignment and collaboration.
- Flexibility to work overnight hours as needed to accommodate U.S. time zones, especially during onboarding and key project phases.
