About the role: 

 In Xperi we aim to disrupt the TV industry by introducing TiVo OS – a brand new, content-centric operating system for Smart TVs, based on the legendary American TiVo brand! As an Engineer in Software QA, your role is extremely crucial to ensure the product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction of products under TiVo brand are met also. You will get an opportunity to work in an international environment and collaborate with other teams spread across Asia, Europe and US. 

This technical role is focused on developing, extending, improving, and increasing the efficiency of the existing tests and testing environment. 

What you will get to do: 

• Assessing and keeping the high quality of our final product at the last stage, that’s the most important and primary responsibility, having a real influence on our product
• Create test plans, execute the test scenarios, and prepare test reports
• Setting up the testing environment virtually and physically in the lab, and contribution to CI/CD test automation framework
• Analyse product and certification requirements, specifications, and use-cases
• Evaluation of issues, bugs triaging and communication with peers, meetings
• Create and maintain technical specifications and documentation
• Work in international environment with various teams across the globe
• Management and distribution of engineering devices in the office

Who we are looking for: 

Must have: 

• 2 year(s) of experience in testing software
• Fluent and efficient communication in English (spoken and written)
• Working experience with embedded devices (either Linux or Android based)
• Experience test automatization using Python (preferred) and JavaScript
• Excellent communication, leadership, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with project & delivery tools (Github, Jira, Confluence, git)
• Experience in test plan and report creation
• Experience in Linux shell scripting
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and practices in software development
• Being self-reliant, with a proactive approach and willingness to share your knowledge with peers

Nice to have: 

• Experience in Smart TV product certification (especially CSP applications)
• Solid knowledge of HTML and web standard
• Working experience with Jenkins and CI/CD
•  ISTQB - Foundation Level
