Arnold’s Business Strategy Department is a team of ex-strategy consultants, corporate strategists, and MBAs who use a broad research and analytics toolkit to provide clients and internal Arnold stakeholders with in-depth marketplace, consumer, competitor, and business understanding to accelerate brand and business growth.

Business Strategy Analyst

A Business Strategy Analyst contributes to and supports discrete client and new business projects, providing research and analysis to inform specific project objectives, driving to insightful and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge in the businesses of assigned clients and new business prospects in order to contribute effectively to client and new business projects
  • Maintains knowledge of client industry trends and socializes with internal team
  • Identifies key sources of information to inform analysis
  • Conducts accurate data analysis to support client and new business projects
  • Ensures data accuracy
  • Generates reliably high-quality output – self-auditing work to minimize errors
  • Shows dedication and passion for problem solving

 

Project Management

  • Demonstrates ownership of assignments
  • Serves as note taker in meetings and documents next steps
  • Establishes strong relationships with internal day-to-day clients
  • Estimates time requirements and prioritizes workload to complete tasks on time
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Demonstrates flexibility when faced with change (e.g., changing project dynamics)
  • Knows when to ask for help and guidance

 

Communications

  • Communicates clearly and concisely orally and in writing
  • Organizes ideas in a relevant and logical flow
  • Exhibits professionalism and maturity in all internal and external communications

 

Team Capabilities and Contributions

  • Develops proficiency in MS Excel, Keynote, and all research resources
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize current tools and processes to be more efficient and effective
  • Proactively identifies new research tools to leverage on departmental and client work
  • Demonstrates initiative and is willing to take on new responsibilities

 

 

Qualifications

  • Business-related, economics, or quantitative Bachelors degree (e.g., math, statistics, engineering) from a leading undergraduate program (or equivalent post-undergraduate experience) required
  • Demonstrates aptitude for marketing and business insight development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) and Powerpoint.  Keynote experience preferred.
  • Highly self-motivated; thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment; have strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills
