VP, e-Retail/Amazon Practice

The VP, e-Retail/Amazon Practice is an industry-leading commerce expert and will be responsible for managing, growing and evolving all aspects of Havas Media’s digital retail and Amazon offerings, reporting into the Head of Performance for North America. The VP, e-Retail/Amazon Practice will continuously identify, evaluate and execute retail, ecommerce and digital shopper marketing opportunities for Havas Media existing and prospective clients.

The individual will lead this practice by coordinating and overseeing a team of performance retail media professionals in delivering campaigns through all phases of launch and maintenance, including product management, program strategy, program development, trafficking, reporting, analysis, and optimization.

The successful candidate will bring a depth of relationships with retail partners, be able to identify opportunities, craft innovative solutions and be proficient in translating performance data into actionable insights.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow our e-Retail/Amazon practice
  • Oversee the development of programs with key retail partners including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Target, Criteo, Google Shopping, Bing Shopping among many others
  • Maintain relationships with Amazon and key e-retail partners to establish and drive best practices, identify trends and ensure compliance
  • Source, evaluate, and secure new retail partners
  • Negotiate and review e-retail partner joint business plans and advertising agreements
  • Lead the Havas Performance team in delivery, monitoring, tracking and driving e-retail campaign performance
  • Provide the Analytics team with insight into channel impact, analyze program performance, and execute on analysis to ensure client KPIs are being met/exceeded
  • Reporting and insights to drive strategy and optimizations


Ideal Experience

  • 8+ years directly related experience within the retail space
  • 5+ years experience working with Amazon on paid search (AMS), display (AMG/AAP), merchandising (A9), earned/customer reviews
  • Extensive experience managing/working with e-Commerce/Brand/Retail programs/clients required, executing within Walmart, eBay, Target, Criteo, Google Shopping, Bing Shopping among many others
  • Experience negotiating, purchasing and managing a variety of online media campaigns (banners, emails, pops, contextual, etc.); Experience with various deal structures including CPM, CPC, hybrid, etc. especially CPA; Knowledge of the unique nuances and structural characteristics of Amazon Marketing campaigns
  • Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics, provide actionable insights and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on your analysis
