Our New York based Search team is adding an Associate Director of SEO to their team.This person will be leveraging extensive industry and SEO expertise in order to establish roadmap, cadence and overall working process for all client SEO work. Attending meetings with high level strategic internal and brand teams as well as weekly status and reporting calls. Managing SEO team and main client contact and final say on all SEO work and collaborations with partner agencies

Candidate must have great organic search management and client-facing skills to manage key accounts. The principal elements of the role are as follows:

  • Deliver SEO performance according to client requirements & targets
  • Undertake responsibility for organic search product/service delivery
  • Act as the main client contact for SEO accounts
  • Develop SEO strategy for key accounts, driving traffic growth and engagement success while maximizing our clients’ business performance in organic search
  • Oversee team operations and team management
  • Implement processes to maximize team’s performance
  • Primarily we consider this an SEO role, but experience with and passion for integrated marketing strategies is required. 

Required skills achieved & knowledge of tools:

  • Excellent knowledge/experience of organic search implementation and strategy
  • Must be able to communicate well, convey SEO tactics to clients and prospects, and manage client expectations
  • Numeracy skills with strong knowledge/experience of MS Excel
  • Writing skills with experience in metadata and content creation
  • Passion for and broad understanding of all aspects of performance marketing
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload across your team
  • Experience with tracking platforms such as SEARCHMETRICS, CONDUCTOR, BRIGHTEDGE
  • Experience with Ahrefs, SEMRush and Screaming frog – or other similar crawling tools
  • Good knowledge on Google Analytics and Omniture
  • Great use of search Console
  • Standard Knowledge of Paid Search to ensure a synergy and aligned work with PPC team

  • Provide regular support and advice to help progress direct reports

Taking Business Forward

  • Help to drive innovation and creative SEO solutions for clients
  • Ensure all SEO employees are up to date with latest trends and tactics for the practice
  • Help drive trainings for internal teams within the organization
  • Work alongside other online and offline media teams to deliver an integrated digital marketing solution
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and work with the appropriate teams to develop new business proposals
  • Reflect the agency ambition and vision in all work, leading and inspiring the team to follow high standards

Ideal Experience

  • 6-8+ years’ experience in SEO
  • Excellent knowledge/experience of organic search implementation and strategy
  • Must be able to communicate well, convey SEO tactics to clients, and manage client expectations
  • Knowledge of industry tools and technologies
  • Numeracy skills with strong knowledge/experience of MS Excel
  • Writing skills with experience in metadata and content creation
  • Passion for and broad understanding of all aspects of digital media
