Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent
Location: Phoenix, AZ | Type: Full-Time | Reports To: Service Director
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent to oversee service crews, manage roofing repairs and maintenance, ensure safety and quality standards, and deliver exceptional customer service. This role partners closely with the Service Director to drive operational excellence and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise roofing service technicians and field crews.
- Coordinate inspections, leak investigations, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for service projects and resolve issues professionally.
- Conduct roof inspections, oversee warranty work, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Track costs, manage reporting, coordinate materials/equipment, and support process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license and strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and repair practices.
Preferred
- Experience with SPF, coatings, TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing systems.
- OSHA 10/30 certification, manufacturer certifications, and service management software experience.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to read plans/specifications and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to access rooftops, lift up to 50 lbs., and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
