Position Summary
Tecta America is seeking an experienced Accounting & Payroll Systems Analyst to join our corporate team in Rosemont, IL.
This role serves as a key ERP team resource supporting accounting and payroll operations across multiple operating units nationwide. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge along with extensive payroll expertise, including multi-state payroll, union payroll, certified payroll, and prevailing wage compliance as well other areas of an accounting system.
This position will partner closely with Accounting, Payroll, Operations, Human Resources, and IT teams to support payroll processes, troubleshoot business issues, improve workflows, and assist with system-related initiatives. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary resource for payroll and accounting related questions, issue resolution, and process support.
- Support complex payroll environments, including multi-state, union, certified, and prevailing wage payroll.
- Assist with payroll audits, reporting, reconciliations, compliance activities, and process improvements.
- Support accounting functions including Project Cost Accounting, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Job Costing, and Financial Reporting.
- Partner with operating units to resolve accounting and payroll-related issues.
- Assist with system testing, upgrades, implementations, acquisitions, and business process improvements.
- Develop process documentation and support user training initiatives.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Payroll, Operations, HR, and IT teams to ensure consistency and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5+ years of accounting and payroll experience.
- Experience supporting:
- Multi-state payroll
- Union payroll
- Certified payroll reporting
- Prevailing wage compliance
- Working knowledge of:
- Project Cost Accounting
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Account Reconciliations
- Financial Reporting
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively support and communicate with users across multiple locations and departments.
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Experience with Payroll NOW, Sylogist/Serenic Payroll, or similar payroll systems.
- Construction, contracting, roofing, or project-based accounting experience.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, system upgrades, acquisitions, or business process improvements.
- Experience with job costing and project accounting.
