Description

Position at Texas Roofing

Commercial Roofing Project Manager

Texas Roofing – A Tecta America Company

About Texas Roofing

Texas Roofing is a commercial roofing contractor built on execution, consistency, and accountability. We specialize in commercial and industrial roofing and sheet metal wall panel systems, new construction, re-roofs, and service work across our region.
As part of Tecta America, the nation’s largest roofing contractor, we combine national resources with local leadership. We run structured, process-driven projects and expect disciplined execution.
High trust. High accountability.

The Role

We’re looking for a Project Manager who knows how to run work — not just manage paperwork.
We win the work. You take it from pre-construction and execute it in the field.
This is a hands-on leadership role once projects are active.
We’re open to experience levels:
  • A driven PM early in their career ready to grow
  • A seasoned operator who could eventually help lead other PMs
Compensation reflects experience and performance.

What You’ll Do

You’ll manage multiple commercial roofing projects at once, with a focus on execution. Most heavy pre-con paperwork is handled before handoff. Your job is to run the work.

  • Work daily with superintendents and foremen
  • Order materials and manage logistics
  • Protect gross margin and monitor budgets
  • Capture and manage change orders
  • Handle architects and roof consultants professionally
  • Maintain clean, current job documentation
  • Support quality control in the field
  • Make the GC’s job easier

What Makes It Challenging

  • Multiple active projects
  • Tight schedules
  • Field coordination complexity
  • Demanding consultants and architects
  • Strong expectations around budget discipline
We don’t micromanage — but we do expect performance.

What Winning Looks Like

After 12 months:
  • Margins protected
  • Change orders captured
  • Clean job files
  • No surprises at closeout
  • Strong alignment with superintendents
  • GCs confident when Texas Roofing is on-site

Who This Is For

  • Relationship builders who can manage field personalities
  • Hard-nosed about protecting margin
  • Organized and steady under pressure
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Self-directed and accountable

Qualifications

  • 2+ years construction project management experience preferred
  • Commercial roofing experience is a plus, not required
  • Ability to visit job sites regularly
  • Working knowledge of budgets, schedules, and contracts
  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary- $65K+ (DOE)
  • Participation in a profit-based bonus pool tied to company performance
  • Bonus distribution based on individual contribution, performance, and tenure
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
If you take pride in running clean, profitable jobs and building strong field relationships, we’d like to talk.
