Position Summary:
Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Pipefitting professionals. Our Pipefitters are responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing piping systems in commercial and industrial environments. Individuals in this role work closely with project managers and other trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Individuals in this role work closely with project managers and other trades to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Our Pipefitters are represented by Pipefitters Local 455.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair high- and low-pressure steam systems
• Install and service process piping systems
• Install and maintain hot water heating systems used in industrial and commercial settings
• Read and interpret building plans and specifications
• Compile and organize material lists for projects
• Coordinate work with project managers and other trades
• Collaborate with peers within the pipefitting trade
• Ensure work is completed safely and meets quality standards
• Additional duties as assigned

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and building plans
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication with project managers, coworkers, and other trades
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
• Physical ability to perform trade-related work
• No fear of heights
• Lift 50+ lbs
• Sit, stand, and climb stairs
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and building plans

Benefits:
Pipefitters are represented by Pipefitters Local 455, with benefits provided through the union. Wages range from $22.17 to $42.02 per hour, based on experience and union scale.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be able to use hands, will talk and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
