Overview: 
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pond Crew Person to join our team at our in-situ copper recovery facility. The Pond Maintenance Tech will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the pond systems, with a particular focus on the labor and maintenance of evaporative systems used in the copper recovery process.
 
Responsibilities
  • Evaporative Systems Maintenance Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair pit boss evaporative systems to ensure they are functioning correctly. This includes routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Labor Tasks Perform manual labor tasks such as cleaning, debris removal, and ensuring the ponds and surrounding areas are maintained in a clean and operational state.
  • Boat Operation Operate boats to access evaporative systems and other equipment located in and around the ponds.
  • Equipment Operation Operate and maintain equipment related to pond systems, valves, and monitoring devices.
  • Inspection and Monitoring Inspect and monitor pit boss evaporative systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Routine Cleaning Ensure that the ponds and surrounding areas are free from debris and any materials that could interfere with operations.
  • Environmental Compliance Ensure all pond operations comply with environmental regulations and company policies. Assist in the implementation of environmental management plans and corrective actions.
  • Safety Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
  • Will assist Maintenance / Operations with projects as needed.
 
Working Conditions
  • The position involves outdoor work with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Lifting and carrying large (50+ lbs) tools and equipment independently
  • Working in various weather conditions for long periods of time.
 
Skills
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot mechanical equipment, and boats.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
 
Requirements
  • Valid Drivers license.
  • Must know how to swim.
  • High School Diploma or GED
