Commercial Excellence Manager - London or Amsterdam

We are launching three new innovative pharmaceutical products across Europe, including a new hospital antibiotic. In this new position, you will have the opportunity to work in the Customer Strategy and Commercial Excellence department to provide strategic analysis and project management for new commercial and customer models, including customer solutions in order to ensure the commercial success of the business.

Being a pan-European role, you can be based in one of our offices in either Amsterdam or London.

As an agile and young pharmaceutical company in Europe this is a broad role working cross functionally across the European organisation. In this role you will have the responsibility to designing new initiatives/methodologies for the customer facing functions, working alongside the Franchise Heads, the Countries General Managers, as well as defining KPIs and designing tools to measure business performance. You will be finding and sharing actionable insights, as well as getting involved in critical decisions for the organisation.  You will also work closely with our affiliates through our local commercial excellence teams to help them develop further their customer focus and their analytical capabilities. This is a role where you will have a unique opportunity to develop with the organisation having high exposure across the board.

Your main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Design, develop and implement customer excellence initiatives and frameworks and project management of them
  • Identify and manage actionable insights through a systematic KPI tracking system  
  • Generation of evidence-based decision making and business development analysis for senior management
  • Develop a systematic way to bench-marking and best practice sharing
  • Develop forecasting models for current and new opportunities and commercial due diligence
  • Facilitate prioritisation and investment analysis to support strategic decision making, including M&A
  • Support budget, operating planning to the business heads

  • Good understanding of European health care systems, with a particular focus on the EU5
  • Consulting experience or strategic planning / customer excellence experience
  • Strong understanding of selling and sales organisational skills
  • Project management skills and a strong understanding of salesforce effectiveness and customer excellence methodologies
  • Expertise in forecasting process and annual operating plan process
  • Be structured at work and metrics driven – oriented to results
  • Ideally an MBA
  • Desirable BD&L / M&A experience is desirable
  • Proficient analytical skills; excellent planning, problem solving and decision–making skills
  • Excellent English language capabilities, both oral and written
