As we continue to grow organically and through alliances/partnerships and acquisitions, in this position you will be one of the team contributing to Shionogi Europe’s growth and success. You will work across the Strategic Planning and Business Development teams, being at the intersection of strategy and implementation. The role is responsible for the building and delivery of critical cross-functional strategic priorities for the business, across a range of programs and capabilities (in many cases related to Business Development). You will also:   
  • Lead and take ownership of strategic projects or initiatives aimed at new sources of growth and opportunities to transform and strengthen our existing business and organization
  • Take responsibility for supporting the strategic planning process to ensure that this process is timely, focused, and adding value
  • Driving research, benchmarking and other analytical activities to make effective recommendations based on evidence, to our CEO/Executive Committee
  • Identify operational and structural weaknesses, helping to improve existing or develop new processes to keep the business as efficient as possible
        
    To be successful in this role demands a strong strategic and analytical orientation, together with project management, exceptional communication skills and a highly developed collaborative attitude. In addition, we need you to have:   
    • Experience in a corporate strategic position and/or in strategy consulting
    • Experience working with data – data analysis, market insights, trends etc.
    • Stakeholder management experience 
    • Ideally experience within Business Development/Acquisition function
    • Some experience within Pharma Industry is desirable
    • Fluent in written and spoken English
    • Exceptional problems solving skills, with a proactive and innovative approach
