As we continue expand the geographical scope of our operations to deliver the best outcomes for patients, this is an opportunity for you to have a critical role in our success. We currently are on an exciting journey with our existing products, as well as end stage development products. You will lead the UK, Nordics and Netherlands medical team, focussing on pre- and post-launch activities. As well as working closely with our European Medical Affairs team, helping to influence our overall European strategy and learning from their wider European inputs.

As the Medical Director you will manage the small team of MSL’s and a Medical Advisor. Your other main responsibilities will be:

  •      Develop medical objectives and the affiliate medical plan that addresses aligns with the EU and the affiliate strategy
  •      Ensure the scientific expertise within the affiliate medical team
  • Establish Shionogi as a key partner in the medical/scientific community
  • Ensure local compliance
  • Continue to build, train, and manage the affiliate Medical Team

We wish you to have the same passion to put patient first as we do. Our main requirements are:

  • A medical degree (GMC registration) and qualified to be an ABPI signatory
  • Experience of working as Medical Director or similar in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Previous experience of managing a Medical Affairs team, ideally in more than one country
  • Ideally experience in Infectious Disease or at least in speciality pharmaceutical products
  • Be driven and goal orientated, with a sense of urgency
  • Willingness to travel 15% to 20% of your time
