At Shionogi Europe we have built a successful Women Health Business and are launching our Hospital Speciality Business. We have an excellent portfolio of new drugs that have been approved in the last 12 months. We are growing, and our European Supply Chain division is critical to how we execute on our plans.

As a Commercial Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the commercial supply chain for the assigned products within Europe including new country launches. You will control the planning and operational supply chain activities for assigned products and will communicate and collaborate cross-functionally and globally to ensure target inventory levels and service levels are maintained. Dependent on your experience you can also have responsibility for leading several processes and training junior staff.

You will work with vendors and cross-functionally across the Shionogi global organisation. The responsibilities for the role will be broad, across five main areas:

  • Supply Chain Management - Communicate internally with key stakeholders in Europe and globally to manage the all aspects supply chain for continuous supply and changes.
  • Supply Chain Planning - Develop and manage the supply chain demand plan for multiple products across EU markets, to ensure sufficient supply
  • Inventory management and Supply Chain operations – manage the order fulfilment process for supply, packaging materials and artwork to meet production demand
  • S&OP - Manage the schedule of meetings, liaising closely with key stakeholders
  • Vendor management - manage and develop the vendor KPI reports and process improvement

  • Commercial Supply Chain experience in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience of working in a global matrix organisation
  • Experience of working with third party suppliers across multiple geographies
  • Experience of leading S&OP processes
  • Awareness of GxPs (particularly GMP and GDP)
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Life Sciences or equivalent. Ideally with advanced degree.
