The position

This is an important role supporting employees, managers and executives of RES Australia and contributing to the culture and engagement of the organisation. You will provide general operational and administrative support within the People and Culture function with a focus on employee engagement, wellbeing, recruitment and learning and development. Your key deliverables will include working closely with the P&C team to provide generalist HR administration support across the full employee life cycle. You will demonstrate great attention to detail, be proactive, and always look to improve the way P&C supports the business.

Accountabilities

  • Management of the HR inbox, answering policy and procedural queries from employees, managers and executives in a timely and efficient manner
  •  Support the onboarding and manage the induction of new employees, including employee orientation sessions
  •  Support payroll preparation
  • Coordinate training and other professional development opportunities. Maintain L&D records in RES' Learning Management System
  • Ensure all HR administration is processed in a timely manner, including changes to terms and conditions, parental leave, probation, HR invoicing and HR metrics including the monthly HR Dashboard
  • Assist with the organisation of Peakon surveys, the bi-monthly managers meeting, monthly team meeting and other employee engagement activities
  • Process terminations including managing exit surveys and final pay
  • Update and maintain records related to employee personnel files
  • Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
  • Provide support to the TA team
  • Generate employment contracts
  • Role model a culture of inclusion, and wellbeing aligned with RES' values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration and Excellence
  • Drive and implement workplace efficiencies/improvements in HR processes
  • Participate in People & Culture projects
  • Be an exemplary role model to encourage the avoidance of risk-taking behaviours across the business and provide the personal commitment never to “risk it”.

 

Knowledge

  •    Learning Management support

Skills and qualifications

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail are a must for managing records, reports, and logistics for training sessions
  •  System skills: Demonstrated ability to use multiple systems. Understanding and adaptability to systems such as Document Management Systems (e.g. SharePoint), SAP SuccessFactors, and Microsoft suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, SuccessFactors preferred
  • Professional and sensitive to confidential information, always remaining professional
  • High attention to detail, efficient time management
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Independent work ethic
  • IT savvy and able to pick up new platforms quickly
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or related field

Experience

  • Previous experience in HR or administration
