BI Developer

As a BI Developer, you will design, develop, maintain, and scale BI-heavy products that rely on visual analytics, data exploration, and interactive data sets. You’ll play a key role in helping us create the necessary Looker-based infrastructure that allows us to quickly build, release, and iterate on BI-focused products both standalone and embedded within a PulsePoint application.


PulsePoint is a fast-growing healthcare technology company (with adtech roots) using real-time data to transform healthcare. We help brands and agencies interpret the hard-to-read signals across the health journey and unify these digital determinants of health with real-world data to produce the most dimensional view of the customer. Our award-winning advertising platforms use machine learning and programmatic automation to seamlessly activate this data, making marketing, predictive analytics, and decision support easy and instantaneous.


  • LookML: Build LookML for new datasets and create the explores for different use cases including internal/external and accounts-based permissions
  • Dashboards: Create looks and dashboards for PulsePoint products, including both standalone and embedded dashboards and integrations with internal & external data sources
  • Optimization: Optimize commonly-used looks & dashboards to minimize response time and cost


  • Looker experience a MUST
  • Proficiency in writing SQL
  • Understanding of one or more database technologies
  • Working knowledge of one or more programming language is a plus
  • GCP / BigQuery experience (bonus / not required)
  • Data analytics, data visualization, and analytical problem-solving skills
