Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Product design from conceptualization to mass production
- Circuit design of power electronic components for industrial applications with focus on PCB Gate Driver Solutions, dc-dc converter, analog circuits and etc
- Knowledge in components selection and second source proposals, generate simulation and calculations
- Product design optimization, evaluation and documentation of PCB Gate Driver built with the company’s products.
- Facilitate technical design review with engineering teams.
- Characterization of new circuits and components.
- Generate schematic and supervise PCB layout design
- Familiar in safety, quality/reliability, and manufacturability of the products
- Provide design technical support and technical advice to customers
- Work with vendors, test engineering and industrialization teams to prepare designs for testing and manufacturing.
Requirements
- Degree in electronics engineering or in related fields
- Excellent understanding of Power Electronics and electrical engineering fundamentals
- 1 to 2 years of experience of power electronics design in any of the following: gate drivers, switch mode power supply and power management. Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
- Knowledge and experience of power electronics components such as IGBT. Si or SiC MOSFET, gate drives and analog/digital circuits (e.g., op-amps, comparator, logic gates, and etc)
- Knowledge or familiarity with circuit simulation tools (e.g., Simetrix/Simplis, LTSpice) and PCB layout (e.g., Altium)
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Learning capability and willingness to be trained and pursue further education
- Resilient under stress even in tough situations
- Strong organizational skills
- Team player
Preferred
- Power electronics design experience and knowledge of power electronic components (e.g. Diode, IGBT, MOSFET, SiC MOSFET, Gate Driver) and/or SMPS
- Knowledge of understanding and interpreting international standards (e.g. DIN EN and IEC)
