Payroll Clerk
Description
The PENTA Building Group is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada! The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager with the preparation and processing of the company’s weekly payroll. This position is fully in-person at our main office.
A PENTA Payroll Clerk will be responsible for:
- Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data.
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions.
- Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages.
- Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment, and worker’s compensation.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
- Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees.

- 1-3 years of experience performing in-house payroll functions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Capable of follow-up with others and tracking down information.
- Strong understanding of Excel and other Microsoft programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- This position is fully in-person at our main office.
