The Job at a Glance

We’re seeking a Benefits Specialist who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help deliver an exceptional benefits experience to our team members. Reporting to the Benefits Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our benefits programs run accurately, compliantly, and seamlessly, while supporting a fast-growing growing organization. Benefits are more than programs, they’re how we support our people during life’s biggest moments. From everyday healthcare needs to unexpected life events, your work ensures our team members feel supported, informed, and cared for.

You won’t just administer benefits. You’ll help power a people-first experience.

A Typical Day

  • Manage the full lifecycle of benefits administration including new hire enrollments, life events, eligibility updates, status changes, terminations, and core processes such as COBRA. Ensure all transactions are processed accurately, compliantly, and within established timelines.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of Open Enrollment, including system setup, testing, employee communications, educational materials, and post-enrollment audits to ensure accuracy and positive team member experience.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data across systems by conducting regular audits of benefit records, monitoring eligibility files and carrier feeds, and reconciling data between HRIS (Dayforce), payroll, and carrier platforms. Proactively identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations including ACA reporting, statutory plan administration, COBRA requirements, and annual reporting processes. Assist in preparing documentation and data for audits and regulatory filings.
  • Partner closely with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to ensure service excellence. Support issue resolution, performance monitoring, Open Enrollment planning and execution, and annual benefit audits. Help align vendor processes with internal standards and timelines.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to local HR partners and team members by delivering clear, timely, and compassionate guidance on benefit programs, policies, and procedures. Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve escalations in partnership with the Benefits Manager, payroll, carriers, and third-party vendors.
