Job Purpose:

 

We are looking for a Dynamic, hands-on, highly driven Human Resources Professional to act as the subject matter expert in HR-related matters for our operations in Turkey. This position will be based in our Istanbul Office.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability and experience performing HR-related duties on a professional level, working closely with the Turkish Leadership Team and the global HR Team.

 

This role reports directly to the HR Manager, France & Turkey.

 

Role of Department:

 

The HR Department provides Strategic and Operational support to the business. HR oversee the full employee life-cycle, from recruitment through to retirement, and is accountable for ensuring that the business can achieve its strategic aims, through compliance with local employment regulations, the correct deployment of resources and through maintaining positive employee relations at all levels of the business.

 

Key Result Areas:

 

  • Provide HR support to the Country Manager and the local Management Teams
  • Implement and oversee the introduction of corporate HR initiatives into Turkey
  • Maintain compliance with state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Ensure a proper preparation and control of the monthly payroll with local payroll provider
  • Manages the benefits administration and communication to employees in Turkey.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance of HR practices within Optimas employees.
  • Handle personnel administration and employee relations.
  • Assist the Global L&D Manager with Talent and Performance Management; ensure a Training program per country is developed.
  • Conduct recruitment effort for all levels of personnel, students and temporary employees; conduct new-employee induction and onboarding; and write and place advertisements.
  • Support the business for organizational changes and communicate, maintain the organization charts.
  • Manage the company cars within the country.
  • Maintain HRIS records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Provide month end reporting as required by Finance and other departments
  • “The post-holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may be reasonably expected within the scope and level of the role”.

 

Knowledge, Training, Experience and Skills required:

 

  • Strong knowledge of Employment Law and the interpretation and implementation of this
  • Experienced in full spectrum of HR management
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Good communication, negotiations and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Exceptional resourcefulness
  • Strong communication skills in Turkish and English, both verbally and in writing
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work efficiently and achieve results, while maintaining confidentiality and high quality and ability to work in fast-paced change-oriented environment
  • Executive presence – ability to convey ideas with clarity and impact along with active listening
