Position overview:

 

Optimas is currently searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse Administrator for our site in Gloucester.

This role will be required for the PM shift from 1.30pm – 10pm Monday – Thursday and 12.30pm – 8.30pm on Fridays.

 

Principal Activities:

 

          Understand, develop and promote the Company’s business objectives and participate with total enthusiasm and commitment to achieve and exceed them

  • Ensure Company policies and procedures are understood and strictly adhered to at all times

          Ensure that you fully understand your work requirements and duties and highlight any training needs and requirements to enable you to undertake your duties

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: - In House training will be provided in all key tasks

General administrative tasks, using the Warehouse Management System, Word and Excel to ensure that:

  • RMA – (Return Material Authorisation) are dealt with quickly and accurately
  • VRMA– (Vendor Return Material Authorisation) are implemented correctly
  • Orders are released (WAVES) into the warehouse
  • Relationships are built with all departments to ensure a smooth workflow

 

Export: - In House training will be provided in all key tasks

  • Management of export processes, including raising of commercial invoices for export consignments
  • Collation of ‘Proof of Export’ for HMRC VAT requirements
  • Supporting - ‘Proof of Exports’ and updating leadership team of progress
  • Collating and distribution of picking documentation including scan file

 

General:

  • Covering other areas of the administration department during holidays / sickness
  • Flexible approach to work shift patterns
  • Ensure specified deadlines for work and/or reporting are met
  • Be accountable for the area of the business you manage
  • Maintain records as required
  • Manage office stationary, Labels, Paper, cartridges, ribbons etc
  • Ensure any special instructions are noted and carried out
  • Enforce good housekeeping & document control

  • Highly organised, showing good attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and to work to deadlines with good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, multi-task and be flexible
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages – in particular Word and Excel and a good working knowledge of Office365
  • Stock administration skills
  • Working well as part of a team
