About the Department
The Marketing and Communications Department sets NYRR’s brand tone. They construct and magnify stories and messages to help and inspire people through running, across advertising, media, brand strategy, creative materials, video, photography, race broadcasts, editorial, brand presentations, and multiple web and digital platforms. They connect with the world's best athletes and ambassadors to deepen NYRR's mission. They leverage channels ranging from international broadcasts to screens at our NYRR RUNCENTER, individual emails to mass media, and from digital journeys to race day signage. The Marketing and Communications team connects NYRR's initiatives and innovations to the hearts and minds of our community, inspiring them to run for life.
About the Position
The Content Management Coordinator’s primary role will be the day-to-day management of the content in NYRR’s mobile apps. In addition, this role will support the builds of other digital content and programming, including NYRR Course Strategies, and digital signage at the NYRR RunCenter, and onsite at NYRR races and expos.
Job Responsibilities (primary and secondary duties):
- Maintain digital signage playlists at the NYRR RUNCENTER. Working with the Marketing team, ensure assets are updated and refreshed to align with the race calendar and storytelling initiatives.
- Develop and execute creative and run of shows for onsite digital signage at NYRR races and expos, and support the overall digital signage strategy at all events and spaces.
- Support the Course Strategy presentations for NYRR’s marquee races. Work closely with the NYRR Coaches on updates to the photo selects, presentation copy, and interactive materials.
- Create and update content in the mobile app through a content management system (CMS). Content includes race details, professional bio pages, sponsorship partners, and race week events.
- Work closely with the NYRR mobile app development team on updates to the CMS and functionality of the mobile app.
- Coordinate with the CMS and mobile app vendors for updates and troubleshooting.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
- 1-2 years of content management/production experience.
- Experience utilizing a mixed media content management system.
- Copyediting experience a plus.
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Premiere, Photoshop) experience a plus
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Other Requirements:
- All staff are required to work the NYC Half Marathon, Brooklyn Half Marathon, and the TCS NYC Marathon.
Salary: 55K
